About Us
Jackton Distillery is an independent, family-run distillery based on a working family estate near Glasgow.
The distillery is home to RAER, a Scottish spirits brand created to make whisky and premium spirits feel welcoming, accessible and enjoyable. Its growing portfolio includes blended Scotch whisky, Single Malt Scotch whisky, gin, vodka and a range of wines produced through international partnerships.
Jackton combines Scottish distilling with a hands-on, open approach. Whisky is distilled, matured and bottled on site, with visitors able to explore areas of the distillery that are often kept behind closed doors, including the mill room, laboratory and bonded warehouses.
The business is working towards a more circular grain-to-glass model, with barley grown on the surrounding land, water sourced from the estate, production water recycled and spent grain reused locally. Bottling also takes place at Jackton, helping the team retain greater control over quality and production.
Alongside production, Jackton operates distillery tours, tastings, private events, weddings, accommodation and a visitor shop. The distillery supports local charities, sports organisations and community projects across East Kilbride and the surrounding area.
In September 2026, Jackton Distillery releases its first RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The inaugural release marks a major milestone for the family and the beginning of the distillery’s Single Malt story.
